Peruvian Amazon Engagement Session | Unique Photography | Destination Wedding Photographer | South American Photo Shoot
Happy New Year Peeps! Solana and I are so happy and excited for the 2011 Wedding Season and all the exciting love stories that we get to capture in 2011! We are ready to ROCK. Last year, we were so blessed to have a truly magical year filled with so many beautiful, beautiful, wedding couples, that we can now call our dear friends! Thank you to each and every one of you for allowing us to photograph your wedding and for being a part of our lives. We are truly grateful to be able to do what we love doing -- Wedding Photography! We are ready for an abundant and love-filled 2011.
Last year I traveled to the Peruvian Amazon and was given the opportunity to stay on my friends 500-acre preserve. This experience was something I will not soon forget. It was very challenging and also very powerful. I lived in the jungle, no hotel, no luxury, no running water and no electronics or materical objects. This was a chance for me to be with myself and nature and to focus on all the things that I am grateful for. I learned so much about myself, as well as all the day-to-day blessings that I take for granted. I am so appreciative to my good friend, D, for allowing me to visit his rainforest preserve in Peru. What an amzing experience! I would like to share a few photos that I took of him and Marcie - This is what I call a "Jungle Session!!!"
p.s. Don't try this at home kids ;)

Christina's 15th Birthday Celebration | Los Angeles Photographer
So my friend Robert calls me and tells me that his daughter Christina is going to be turning 15 years old! This was extremely hard to believe, considering that it feels just like yesterday that Robert and I were running the halls of Santa Monica High School...LOL. Christina's 15th Birthday celebration was a blast! The evening started off with a special visit from The King Kone ice cream truck, the best soft serve ice cream truck in L.A.! There was a Dj and the Mariachi performed classic Mexican and American hits for about 2 hours, they were realllly good. The night was full of smiling faces and memorable moments, such as the the Father/Daughter dance. It was great to see and reconnect with many of my old buddies who attended the party. I am very proud of my friend Robert and I enjoyed seeing the special bond that he and Christina share.

And a special thanks to the Wifey for stepping in and taking this great shot : )

P.S. Mariachi's are cool, super cool!

Lanai's Quinceañera | Los Angeles Wedding Photographer | Marina Del Rey | Courtyard Marriott Los Angeles
Lanai's Quinceañera celebration, which took place at the Courtyard Marriott in Marina del Rey, was a night to remember! This family knows how to have fun and how to throw a party. Not only were the typical things going down, but the night held some special surprise dance routines and entertainment that the adorable Lanai and her "crew" performed for all the guests, including unique choreographed waltz steps in tuxedos and gowns. This was then followed up by some modern hip hop dance routines that included the famous "JERK"! It was a night full of celebration, dance, happiness and joy. Because I had the opportunity to shoot Lanai's Q-session a few months back (click here to see those images), I was able to get to know her better. She is a lovely young lady who is truly remarkable and sweet. Lanai has a drive and energy that is going to take her to great heights and I am honored to have been part of her special celebration.
